Buddies
At Chetwynde, we are famed for our small, family-feel school. It is a culture we actively grow. We know how reassuring it can be to know that someone has your back and is looking out for you - so we give our reception and year sevens a buddy!
Year six become buddies for the new reception children and visit weekly to play and read books to them.
Year eleven pupils become buddies to the new year sevens. They take on a big brother or sister role and check in with their buddy on a regular basis. They give advice, help and encouragement, often over a drink and snack or while strolling around our beautiful grounds.
