As you know, we are mad about reading! I particularly like how reading lets you 'try-out' situations in life that you might not have personally experienced. This type of reading is powerful - when you come up against a new experience, your reading helps you navigate it with some understanding. Magic! Here is a link to some books that deal with transition that may be useful for parents of year six children over the summer. And if you do buy them, you can always donate them to the school library at a later date!
