The Government updated the guidance yesterday on the use of face coverings in educational settings.

In this guidance they state that when an area moves into a 'high' control, as the Barrow area is now, the DfE are clear that face coverings should be worn indoors when students and staff are moving (on corridors and communal areas).  I had advised staff on Friday that they must do this but the guidance has now been updated to include students, and even though the school is set out in zones with little movement through corridors we must adhere to this latest guidance. This applies to Senior students ONLY, unless medically exempt. 

Therefore please ensure that you send your child to school tomorrow with a face covering (or an explanation of their exception) and we will ensure that we will explain when, where and why they should wear the coverings so that all in school are clear.
