Curriculum Intent

  • To develop students logical and computational thinking skills which can be transferable.
  • To develop student’s problem-solving skills enabling them to become resilient in their learning.
  • Provide high quality, enriching and innovative curriculum using the very latest technologies.
  • To teach students how to be safe and responsible digital citizens.
  • Provide opportunities where pupils can make, test and refine a digital article for a specific purpose and with a specific audience in mind.
  • To allow students to develop the skills required for KS4 Computer Science and Digital Literacy
  • To develop programming skills in various languages

 

KS3 Curriculum

Our KS3 curriculum is aimed at giving a foundation in many aspects of computing that will be help students during their studies and when they leave school. Some important aspects of the curriculum such as organising data, presenting information, website development and programming are covered in Year 7, 8 and 9 to further support skills that will be useful in the future and prepare students if choosing iMedia or Computer Science as an option.
